Madhya Pradesh offers a plethora of
tourist attractions including exquisitely carved Khajuraho temples, proud
fortress and a variety of wild life. Historically known as the Malwa region,
most of the state is a high plateau. The major tourist attractions of the
Madhya Pradesh include Gwalior, Udaygiri for its cave sculptures of
religious themes, Orchha-the city of exquisite palaces and cenotaphs,
Khajuraho temples, and the city of love-Mandu. Madhya Pradesh has largest
tiger population in India.
